What Does The Bible Say About Having Good Relationships With Others

What Does The Bible Say About Having Good Relationships With Others? In showing God’s love to others, Christians must offer their acceptance, which is not necessarily an approval of their lifestyle. Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior calls on us to accept and show love to people from all walks of life. However, this does not mean that Jesus Christ wants us to approve of everyone’s actions. That’s why it’s important for us to clearly understand and make a difference between accepting and approving. Note that you can accept someone without necessarily approving of everything that he/she does. As Christians, we are to accept everybody but not approve of everything that everybody does when the things are not in line with God’s Holy Will and Commands. Thus, no matter what people do or with who they do it with, or how they do it, we are to accept, love, and pray for them.

The Almighty God loves us, but it doesn’t mean He approves of everything we do. Likewise, Christians showing God’s love to others irrespective of their ways doesn’t mean they approve of such. Understand that love is not saying I approve of everything that you do. Love is saying I accept you in spite of what you do. Romans 15:7 says, “Accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.” By accepting others, Christians are showing God’s love and therefore accepting His glory. The love we show to others gives glory to God. Remember that God is love, and anyone who does not love does not know Him. God wants us to become godly. He wants us to develop His character. Like Father like son, like Father like daughter. God wants us to learn to love people just the same way He does.

What The Scriptures Say About Accepting Others?

Humans naturally strive to feel accepted by others. Unlike natural human acceptance that is conditional, God’s acceptance is unconditionally offered to mankind. And as Christians, we are to show God’s acceptance through love. Romans 15:7 says, “Accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.” Acceptance does tremendous things for your self-esteem. Truthfully speaking, Jesus Christ accepts you, and that acceptance is not based on your performance. Today, we are able to accept and receive Jesus Christ into our lives because He first accepted us even when we were still sinners. There is nothing that we can do on our own to earn God’s acceptance. God, through Jesus Christ, has already accepted us. Likewise, we are to accept others irrespective of what they do or who they are.

What Does The Bible Say About Accepting Help From Others?

The Bible clearly recognizes the existence of human needs. Matthew 26:11 says, “For you always have the poor with you, but you will not always have me.” We can understand from this saying made by Jesus that human needs will always be present as long as we live on Earth. Jesus Christ also supports the providing of assistance by believers to meet the genuine needs of others. 2 Corinthians 9:7 says, “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” Likewise, Acts 20:35 says, “In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” In giving or receiving, we should be humble in spirit, as this pleases God.
