There are many Bible Verses About Hope worth knowing by every Christian. Hope is one of the three theological virtues that keeps followers of Christ faithful to his teachings. The other two theological virtues are faith and love (Charity). As oppose to the latter two, hope is exclusively directed to the future. It is more of a fervent desire and confident expectation for the best things to come through Christ. Once hope attends its objectives, it ceases to be hope and becomes a possession. Unlike hope that is confined to man’s life on Earth and has an end, love never ends. Note that the ancient Greeks used the term hope (elpis) in pointing to an ambiguous and open-ended future. However, the Resurrection of Jesus Christ came as a call for Christians to embrace the term in pointing to a positive expectation and a moral quality.
By actively reading through the New Testament, you’ll realize that Christian hope is closely tied to the ultimate hope of the return of Jesus Christ who will come to judge both the living and the dead. Most Bible verses about hope support this divine truth. Nevertheless, this eschatological hope does not eliminate the intermediate hopes for divine favor, material blessings, and good times. Although most Christian manuals of doctrine and ethics have preferentially focused more on faith and charity, there is absolutely much to say about hope. Whatever be the case, relax because our write-up on the best Bible verses about hope will provide you with all what you need to know.
