Benson Idahosa Raising The Dead

Benson Idahosa Raising The Dead

It is without a doubt that during the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ, he raised many dead people. The Bible tells us that He went about doing good. Throughout his earthly ministry, he healed all who came to him with sicknesses of all kinds.

The Bible tells us that he gave sight to the blind, strengthened the legs of the lame to walk, opened the ears of the deaf to hear, commanded the dumb to speak, and liberated all those who were under the captivity of Satan.

Remember what Jesus Christ said in John 14 verse 12 ” Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”

In this verse, Jesus Christ is telling us that anyone who believes in Him will be able to do the things that He deed and even do greater things.

Hence, we can say that it is all about faith in God for the Bible says that all things are possible for God to do. Likewise, the Bible says that all things are possible for he that believes. It is important to note that the impossible exists only in the human realm and not in that of God. Apart from Jesus Christ, a good number of prophets in the Bible also raised many dead people.

Below are cases in the Bible that the dead were brought back to life:

1. Elijah raised the son of the Zarephath widow from the dead (1 Kings 17 Verses 17 to 22).

2. Elisha raised the son of the Shunammite woman from the dead (2 Kings 4 Verses 32 to 35).

3. A man was raised from the dead when his body touched Elisha’s bones (2 Kings 13 Verse 20, and 21)

4. Many saints rose from the dead at the resurrection of Jesus (Matthew 27 Verse 50 to 53).

5. Jesus rose from the dead (Matthew 28 Verse 5 to 8; Mark 16 Verse 6; Luke 24 Verse 5, and 6).

6. Jesus raised the son of the widow of Nain from the dead (Luke 7 Verses 11 to 15).

7. Jesus raised the daughter of Jairus from the dead (Luke 8 Verse 41, 42, 49 to 55).

8. Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead (John 11 Verse 1-44). 9. Peter raised Dorcas from the dead (Acts 9 Verse 36-41).

10. Eutychus was raised from the dead by Paul (Acts 20 Verse 9, 10).

Behold, Jesus Christ raised the dead, His immediate Apostles deed the same just as He had said in John 14 Verse 12. Jesus said anyone who believes in Him will do what he deed and even do greater things because he was going to the Father Almighty. His immediate Apostles believed and it worked for them. What of us today? Are we not also believers who share the same faith with the Apostles of Old. Of course, we are because Jesus Christ does not change. Hebrews 13 Verse 8 tells us that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. It is in this light that Archbishop Benson Idahosa stepped out in faith to raise a dead and it worked. Glory be to God.

Let’s hear him from his own words: “As a young Christian, I once heard my pastor say during a morning service that Christians could raise the dead in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I believed it with all my heart. And flying around on my bicycle in those days, I went through the city of Benin in search of a dead person to raise to life. After about five hours of hard searching I found a compound where a little girl had died a few hours before. The corpse had been cleaned and prepared for burial. I walked boldly up to the father of the dead child. “The God whom I serve can bring your baby back to life,” I told him. “Will you permit me to pray for the child and bring her back to life?” The man was startled, but he agreed. With great enthusiasm, I walked into the room and up to the bed. The child was cold and dead. With strong faith in the Lord, I called on the Lord to restore the child back to life. I turned to the corpse and called it by name, “Arise in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.” Oh Glory to God! The corpse sneezed, heavily, alas. The child had come back to life!”

Benson Idahosa’s Conversion And Call Into Ministry

The conversion of Benson Idahosa is one that we can class as dramatic. Also, the nature of his calling is one that we can perceive as supernatural. Behold, it was on a Sunday afternoon in a football field that Benson Idahosa was converted by Pastor Okpo. Little did he know that his going to play soccer was going to be a turning point in his entire life. Records hold that while in the field to play soccer with his teammates, Pastor Okpo preached the Good News of Jesus Christ and he openly received it. This led the young Benson Idahosa to become the first Bini member of Pastor Okpo’s small congregation. It is said that as a young convert, Benson Idahosa became very zealous to winning souls as well as conducting outreaches to villages around Benin City.

It is said that Benson Idahosa was called to the ministry in a night vision from the Lord. Reporting what he saw and heard in the vision, Benson Idahosa said that he heard a Heavenly voice saying, “I have called you that you might take the gospel around the world in my name, preach the gospel, and I will confirm my word with signs following.” Behold, the room was filled with the presence of God as Benson Andrew Idahosa fell to his knees just beside his bed: “Lord, wherever you want me to go, I will go.

After this encounter, he prayed on through the night, as he renewed his vows to God and interceded for the people who were yet to hear the message of salvation through Christ that God had sent him with. After this call, Benson Idahosa went from village to village as he preached the Good News of Salvation through Repentance and the Blood of Jesus Christ. The Things That The Leading Gospel Ministers Said About Archbishop Benson Andrew Idahosa

Evangelist T. L. Osborn, from Tulsa, Oklahoma said: “Many who follow Idahosa’s teaching have been saved from poverty and have learned to plant out of their desperate need and to look to God as their divine source thereby becoming prosperous Christians in their own land. Idahosa rose from the rank of an ordinary man to world leadership as a pastor, builder, counsellor, prophet, teacher, apostle, evangelist,–a man of godly wisdom and of Christ-like compassion, whose ministry has blessed millions the world over. Idahosa was the greatest African ambassador of the apostolic Christian faith to the world.

Mrs. Gordon Freda Lindsay, president of Christ for the Nations Inc., Dallas, Texas, U.S.A. said: “I know of no young black in all of Africa who is reaching millions as Benson is,–in crusades with hundreds of thousands in attendance, in his weekly nationwide telecast, in his Bible School, training eager students from several nations. He also conducts campaigns in Sweden, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Australia and the United States, where he often appeared on national religious telecasts. His burden for souls, his ministry of healing and miracles, even to the raising of several dead, demonstrates he is especially called of the Lord in these end times.

Daniel Orris said: “Benin City respects and salutes this great man of God, even at death. I have been with him on visits to many officials, to the governor, to the powerful Benin tribal kings. He moved with God and his people know it. His great miracle cathedral (his headquarters) seats over 10,000 (1981). His Bible School attracts upper class people from different African nations. And they also come from Maurice, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, the Middle East, Europe and other nations of the world–a truly International Bible Training Centre of dynamic faith. People know that Bishop Idahosa preached what he practiced. Dr. Idahosa’s evangelistic ministry has reached nations around the world. He was the first black African evangelist to shake Australia in a massive crusade that got national attention. His seminars have affected Christians and church leaders in many countries. I sincerely salute this man because he practiced among his own people what he preached to the world. Benson Idahosa was a man who believed God’s promises and that God’s miracle provision applies to Africans as well as to Americans. He believed that Africa has a part in God’s work, and Africa will reap God’s blessings.

Dr. Ben Akosa said: “Benson Idahosa is sought after by everyone in his state, from government officials to beggars. When they posed questions and explained their problems to this man they received instantanous miracle solutions, just as people did in Bible days with God’s prophets. And the people get miraculous answers from this mighty leader of God’s people.

20 Powerful Faith Quotes By Archbishop Benson Andrew Idahosa

The name Archbishop Benson Andrew Idahosa is one that can’t be forgotten in a generation that desires to worship a living God. Yes, I mean a living God. Although gone, his message about the living God is still laying hands on many and taking the faith of many to maturity. In fact, his messages are clothing young men and women with the power to uproot the evil in this generation. He was the kind of preacher that we find 1 in the midst of every 1,000.

With mere words backed by the One Who Sent him, he was able to call down physical and spiritual fire from heaven, instantly call blindness, paralysis, or death on anyone standing on the way of the Holy Gospel or one preventing the Truth from being known (Here, one can only remember how Prophet Elijah called down fire on a whole army sent to stop the work of God in his days).

In the days of Archbishop Benson Idahosa, raising the dead, healing all kinds of sicknesses, opening the eyes of the blind, restoring the speech of the dumb, opening the ears of the deaf, and opening the eyes of the blind were indeed the children’s bread. Father, we miss your days. Just as Elijah left something behind, do not accept to dwell peacefully where you are without pleading with God to continue what you started in our generation. We do not want the Power and Authority that accompanied you and Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola to leave us. The world can only praise God and marvel at the things that He did through you:

  • A man who called down rain and it rained.
  • A man who commanded the rain to stop and it did.
  • A man who commanded the dead to rise and they did
  • A man who drove away hundreds of witches and wizards in Benin and thousands in Nigeria as a whole.
  • A man whose presence demons, wizards, witches, and familiar spirits could not withstand.
  • A man who communicated with the invisible and visible.
  • A man who called the invisible into existence and it came.
  • A man whose words were a mixture of fire and power (1 Corinthians 4:20)
  • A man who shook the heavenly places as he went around doing the things everyone had concluded impossible.
  • A man who fought not for a title but was crowned the Father Of Faith In Africa.
  • A man that this generation and that to come will remember and give thanks to God for sending him.
  • A spiritual father and guide to thousands if not millions.
  • A man whose anointing is too heavy for a mere human to carry.
  • Filled with the Epikaizo Anointing and clothed with the power of the Allos Parakletos, Benson Idahosa went about doing good.
  • A man whose anointing, grace, power, and authority in Christ is still roaming the Earth looking for young men and women who are willing to follow Jesus Christ and run the Christian race in dimensions no one has ever heard of nor experienced.
  • A man who saw the defeat of Satan before being taken away from the Earth.

Bible Verses About Husband Leading Wife

Bible Verses About Husband Leading Wife

There are many Bible Verses About Husband Leading Wife worth knowing by all Christians. A husband plays a very important role in the family unit which was established by God. The very primary role of the husband in the Bible starts with leadership. The Holy Scripture makes it very clear unto the understanding of everyone that a husband must be a leader of his home and maintain a healthy control over his life. According to 1 Timothy 3 which speaks of two church leadership positions traditionally filled by men, an Overseer and Deacon must manage their family well. In a more specific way, verse 5 says, “If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?

Likewise, Ephesians 5:21-24 says, “Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.” In the same light, 1 Corinthians 11:3 says, “But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.”
With this in mind, we can say without doubt that one of the primary roles of the husband in the Bible is to lead. In simple terms, leadership here means influence. A husband should influence his family in the light of God’s ways.

Bible Verses About Husband Leading Wife

According to the Bible, husbands are being called to lead their families in the ways of God. As previously mentioned, leading is influencing. Note here that we are not saying that husbands are dictators but leaders. Biblically, husbands have been called to influence their wives, and families in accordance to Biblical teachings. Husbands are to exemplify, with words and actions, attributes that bring glory to God and value their spouse and offspring. In simple words, we can say that the fruits of a Biblically-based husband is a confident, strong, and spiritually mature wife and family. Provision and Protection are two very specific ways through which a husband influences his home. Although the role of the husband in the Bible starts with leadership, it also encompasses provision and protection.

There is no way that a husband can influence his wife if he does not care for her. He can demand and she may follow as a result, but he will never truly have her heart unless he provides for her needs, cares for her needs, and protects her both physically and spiritually. In support of this, 1 Timothy 5:8 says, “Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” Likewise Colossians 3:19 says, “Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.” In addition, 1 Peter 3:7 reads “Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.”

What The Scriptures Say About Christian Leadership

The Bible tells us that God loves His daughters and the children that they bear. Whenever God gives one of His daughters to a man, He desires that the man love, care, protect, and provide for her. In no way does the Scripture teach that women and children be considered second rate or inferior to men. God finds them so special that He asks for special care to be given the; a care that only Biblically-based men can provide. It is without doubt that women are quite capable of taking care of themselves. However, God created men and women to be physically different. And due to the physical nature and strength that God gave men, He has charged them with the provision and protection of their families. However, the physical nature and strength of a man are to be managed with grace and gentleness.

God did not create men to lord over women nor did He create women to simply sit back and wait on men. Rather, He made them to complement each other through a healthy companionship. Being a good companion is one of the roles of a husband in the Bible. In fact, the role of the husband in the Bible is fulfilled through the heart of companionship.

It is in this light that Ephesians 5:25-33 says, “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church—for we are members of his body. ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.”

Facts On What The Bible Says About Husband Leading Wife

God should always be the head in every relationship between a husband and a wife. This relationship in question s to be governed or based on love, sincerity, faithfulness, respect, support, forgiveness, and commitment. Both partners are to help each other, comfort each other, love each other, and live a happy life together. Such is the ideal model of marriage which is portrayed at the beginning of the Bible with the creation of Eve.

Genesis 2:20-24 says, “…But for Adam no suitable helper was found. So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, ‘This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called “woman,” for she was taken out of man.’ That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.”

Behold, God created men and women with natural, physical, and emotional differences. Usually where one is weak, the other is strong. Thus, a husband and wife can help each other by meeting the other person’s needs through physical and emotional intimacy.

1 Corinthians 7:2-5 addresses this, “But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife. Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

When the needs of each spouse are met rightly, the two can help each other as they live a successful relationship. Through their companionship, a husband and wife work together to grow a family. God’s plan was that every home operates under the guidance of both a husband and a wife and that through this, they raise healthy children that fear and obey His ways.

In support of this, Ephesians 6:1-3 says, “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. ‘Honor your father and mother’ —which is the first commandment with a promise— ‘so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.’”

What The Bible Says About Christian Husband Leading Wife

Truth be told, the Bible says much about being a Christian Husband that an entire book could be written on it. In fact, as of the time of putting up this article, many books have been written based on what the Bible says about being a Christian husband. Ephesians 5:15–33 clearly portrays a picture of what it means to be a Christian husband. Here, Apostle Paul speaks on what it means to be in Christ, that is, to be in a right relationship with God Almighty. Beginning in verse 23, we can read Apostle Paul’s instructions to the Christian wife whereby he explains that she is to recognize in her husband the kind of leader that Christ is to His beloved Church. In verse 25, Apostle Paul directly says the same thing to the Christian husband.

The Christian’s model for husbandly conduct is Jesus Christ Himself. In simple words, God expects Christian husbands to love their wives fully, sacrificially, and unconditionally, the same way that Christ our savior loves us. The Christian husband is expected to be willing to give everything, including his lifeblood, if necessary, for the benefit and welfare of his wife and family. God’s plan is that the husband and wife become one (Mark 10:8), so what the husband has belongs to the wife. Always remember that there is no selfishness in love (1 Corinthians 13:5); there is only giving which is made out of love. The Christian husband’s feeling for his wife should go beyond romance, infatuation, or sexual desire. Such a relationship is based on true love – the God-reflecting, God-given spirit of sacrifice.

More on what the Bible says about husband leading wife

The Christian husband is more interested in his wife’s well-being more than his own. As a fellow-heir of eternal life, he promotes her spiritual well-being (1 Peter 3:7). Instead of asking what he can get from her, he thinks of what he can be and do for her. Ephesians 5 tells us how a loving Christian husband is the instrument of Christ’s love for his Church. Many times, a Christian husband is also a father. Whatever the case, just note that the Christian roles of a husband and father are interwoven. God created man and woman as sexual beings for a good number of reasons. One of this is the joy of perpetuating the race, of populating the entire Earth with generations of people who bear God’s name and reflect His image. The husband is the head of the family just as Christ is the head of the Church.

Bible Verses About Husbands Leading

What The Scriptures Say About Christian Husbands Leading

Facts On What The Bible Says About Husbands Leading

What The Bible Says About Christian Husbands Leading

More on what the Bible says about husbands leading

Bible Verses About Finding A Godly Husband

There are many Bible Verses About Finding A Godly Husband worth knowing. Many frequently ask questions like “What should I be looking for in a husband? What does the Bible say about finding a husband?” According to Acts 13:22, a Christian woman in search of a husband should go for a man “after God’s own heart”. It is important to understand here that the most important relationship that any of us can have is that with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This is the relationship that should always come before all others. The truth is that if our vertical relationship with God is healthy, then our horizontal relationship will definitely reflect this very reality. With this in mind, we can say without doubt that a potential husband should be a man who has his focus upon walking in the light of obedience to God’s Word.

As a Christian woman in search of a husband, it is recommended to go for a man who seeks to live his life in a way that brings glory to God’s Holy Name (1 Corinthians 10:31). However, there are other qualities worth looking for in a man with whom you want to settle down. In 1 Timothy 3, Apostle Paul clearly gives us the qualities to look for in a man or potential Christian husband. This passage in question holds the qualifications for a leader in the church body. These qualities are to grace the life of every man who goes “after God’s heart.” A potential Christian husband should display in his thoughts, words, and actions the love for God, and his neighbor. In his nature should be found compassion, a forgiving heart, loving heart, caring heart, generous heart, and the desire to do God’s will.

Bible Verses About Finding A Godly Husband

The Bible holds more qualities to look for in a potential husband. These qualities from 1 Timothy 3 can be paraphrased in the light of God’s Ways as follows: “a man should be patient and controlled in his demeanor, able to master his emotions, not filled with pride but of sober mental attitude, able to patiently teach, not prone to violence, given to graciousness to others, not given to drunkenness or uncontrolled use of any of God’s gifts, not apt to be a hot-head or be thin-skinned so that he takes offense easily, not overly focused upon the details of life but focused upon God, and grateful for what God has given him, rather than envious of what gifts others have received.” These are the qualities of a man who is actively working his way towards maturity in the faith.

A man with the above mentioned qualities is a potential husband for a Christian woman. Of course, physical attraction, complementary strengths, similar interests, and the desire to have children are things to consider too. However, these things should come in a secondary position to the spiritual qualities that a woman should look for in a man. Worth noting here is the fact that a man you can love, trust, respect, and follow in the path of godliness is of far greater value than a man of fame, good looks, money, or power.

What Does The Scriptures Say About Finding A Godly Life Partner?

There is much that the Scriptures say about finding a husband. According to the Scriptures, when “looking” for a husband, we must be surrendered to God’s will in our lives. Although every woman desires to find her “prince charming,” the reality is that she’ll likely end up marrying a man with as many flaws as she has. Then, by God’s grace, both will spend the rest of their lives learning what it takes to be a partner to, and servant of, each other. As a Christian woman, avoid entering into the second most important relationship of your life (marriage) under an emotional cloud. It is advisable to enter into marriage with your eyes wide open. Don’t allow emotions to cloud your sense of reason. Be still, ascertain yourself that you are making the right decision, one out of genuine love and not interest or ego, before you get into marriage.

Bible Verses About A Woman Finding A Husband

There are many Bible Verses About A Woman Finding A Husband.

Bible Verses About A Woman Finding A Husband

What Does The Scriptures Say About A Woman Finding A Life Partner?
