In life, we are always trying to achieve or accomplish one thing or the other. We set goals and work towards them. In our journey of achievements, we rely on God for strength and guidance. We hold strong to faith, optimism, and love while rejecting fear. We rely on God to accomplish our goals because we know without a single doubt that He does all things for the good of those who love Him and are faithful to His commands. Romans 8:28 tells us, “…We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
Truthfully speaking, we can do nothing on our own. But in Christ, we can do all things. As Christians, we count not on our ability but on God’s Sovereign Ability. Our ability/strength will fail us but God’s ability/strength will never fail us. Philippians 2:13 says, “For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure.” Likewise, Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.” Anyone who puts his/her trust in the Lord God Almighty is set for success.

What The Scriptures Say
There is much that the Bible says about achievements and accomplishments in all aspects of life. When our goals and/or objectives are in line with God’s will, He is happy to see us accomplish them. In fact, He gives us the strength to achieve or accomplish our goals in order to bring glory to His name. Behold, God Almighty strengthens and blesses us for every good work. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” God knows our past/present/future situations and is willing to guide and lead us into success if we submit to His Will. If we trust and follow God, He will lead us into great achievements and/or accomplishments.
Seven (7) Biblical Steps To Achievement
1) Desire (Psalm 37:4)
Psalm 37:4 says, “Take delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Successfully achieving something starts with desiring it in your heart. The desire in your heart motivates you for great achievements.
2) Imagine (Ephesians 3:20)
Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.” It is important to form a mental image of that thing/goal that you desire to achieve. Whether it is a visible or nonvisible thing, forming a mental image will greatly help you in remaining focused and motivated.
3) Goal (Philippians 3:14)
Philippians 3:14 says, “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” The image and the goal actually overlap. After you desire something, you form an image of it in your mind’s eyes and then set it as a goal to achieve. At this step, it is important to write your goal down and regularly refer back to it.
4) Faith (Hebrews 11:1)
Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Behold, there is much that the Bible has to say about faith. In fact, the Bible teaches that “according to your faith will it be done unto you.” In the same light, it teaches that a person must believe that he/she will have what they desire.
5) Act (Ecclesiastes 9:10)
Ecclesiastes 9:10 says, “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might, for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going.” Behold, taking action is the most important step. It is important to understand that taking action gets you out of your comfort zone and sets you for success. After you have set your goal and hold a mental image of what you desire, you must willfully step out in faith in order to materialize or achieve what’s in your heart.
6) Give (Luke 6:38)
Luke 6:38 says, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Likewise, Proverbs 10:12 says, “Love covers over all wrongs.” Truthfully speaking, you must give in order to receive. This is a universal law. Even in business, you have to give a product or service in order to receive compensation.
7) Receive (Matthew 7:8)
Matthew 7:8 says, “For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks fi nds and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” At this step, it is very important to avoid unnecessary feelings of guilt or unworthiness. If need be, forgive yourself and others. It is important to have a good self-image without necessarily looking at yourself as more important than others.
