Promises of God in the Old Testament

God Almighty promised to abundantly bless Abraham and, through his descendants, the whole world (Genesis 12:2–3). This promise that was made by God to Abraham is what theologians refer to as the Abrahamic Covenant. It was the special and greatest promise that pointed to the coming Messiah for whom Abraham looked (John 8:56). In the New Testament, God promised salvation to all those who believe in His only Son, Jesus Christ (Romans 1:16–17).
