This creates need for everyone to learn the qualities of a genuine or true friend. Without these qualities at hand, we are more likely to roam around with the wrong people in the name of friends. Bible Verses About Friendship

Biblical qualities of a good friend to consider in choosing your companions

1. True friends love at all times – Proverbs 17:17

Proverbs 17:17 – “A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” Love is a powerful language of the heart that encourages, excites, and gives meaning and fun to friendship relationships. These priceless treasures are the desires of many but a reality to few. Loving friendships are rare these days as many are out for their personal interests and profits. Such ego creates room for friendship without love. And behold, friendship without love is not different from tunnels without light at the end and ships without sails. Genuine love is what holds and binds true friendship together, even during uncertain and hard times. It is so powerful that it overcomes the challenges of life and maintains its participants together. Unfortunately, not all friends are loving – some friends only stick around when things are going well. Immediately things turn the other way round, such friends disappear.

As pointed out by the best Bible verses about friendship, friends that are out for their personal interest will say the right words at the right time and they will exhibit the qualities of a loving friend as long as things keep moving well, and immediately you encounter hard times and can no longer meet their expectations and demands, their love becomes a thing of the past. Always keep in mind that a good friend will love you in all circumstances and at all times. Genuine friends are not out for opportunities to excuse themselves from expressing their love to you. They are rather more into looking for opportunities to further express their love to you. Genuine love will always pass the test of time and trials. Loyal and loving friends will succeed in your test and won’t remain angry for long but find ways to improve on the relationship.

2. Good friends respect you and your qualities – Philippians 2:3

Philippians 2:3 – “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.” A good friend is one who respects your personality and values your qualities. Such a friend won’t disregard your feelings and treat them as if they did not matter. It is advisable not to lower your standards for the accommodation of friends that do not respect you. Such friends are more likely to lead you astray and kill the ethical values within you. If a friend is not willing to respect you, then it is as good as saying goodbye to the friendship. Respect is one of the best qualities of a good friend.

3. Good friends exercise wisdom – Proverbs 13:20

Proverbs 13:20 – “Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.” From the Bible verses on Friendship, we are advised to walk with the wise so that we can in-turn become wise or grow in wisdom. Embracing the companion of fools will soon lead you into sorrow and long lasting regrets. It is with this in mind that we say that good friendship exercises wisdom. Although this Biblical verse is not a call for you to indiscriminately disassociate yourself from friends you perceive to lack knowledge, it is a call for you to take precautions not to follow them into their unwise plans. However, you can help by cultivating some sound value into their lives. If they are willing to learn and move ahead, then we’ll say the relationship is excising wisdom. It is worth continuing if they are willing to learn from their mistakes.

4. Creditable friends inspire strong values in you – 1 Corinthians 15:33

1 Corinthians 15:33 – “Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.” It is without doubt that commendable friends inspire and promote the growth of strong values within you. There is major and wise proverb that says “You and known by the friends that you keep“. This verse from Apostle Paul comes in to reinforce the same wisdom. Good friendship inspires and brings out the best from you while bad friendship corrupts the good morals within you. Go for virtues friends who will instill sound values in you. Going the other way round will definitely lead to your downfall in one way or the other.

5. True Friends are supportive and reliable – Proverbs 18:24

Proverbs 18:24 – “There are ‘friends’ who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.” Brethren, let no one deceive you that true friendship does not come with reliability and support. It is one of the most important qualities of a good friend. Bible verses about friendship point to the fact that good friendships create bonds that go deeper than brotherly blood relationships. Loyal friends will always be by your side to support and encourage you in hard times. In their supportive nature, they’ll gracefully correct you when you are wrong. They’ll also popup to congratulate you for your achievements.

6. Good friends make sacrifices for you – John 15:13

John 15:13 – “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” A true or genuine friend is one who knows the importance of sacrifices in strengthening a relationship to last. The Bible verses on friendship point Jesus Christ as the greatest example of a friend. Sacrifice is a fundamental quality for a genuine friendship relationship that will last long. Friendships without sacrifices are those that come without commitment. It is without doubt that such relationships won’t last long. In 1 Samuel 18:4, we read about the genuine friendship that existed between David and Jonathan, the King’s son. The king hated David and had made plans to kill him, but his son, Jonathan, out of the love and respect he had for his friendship with David did not hesitate to endanger his life by informing David. Christ did even more for us.

7. Honorable friends preserve secrets and stay away from gossips – Proverbs 16:28

Proverbs 16:28 – “A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends.” An honorable friend is one who knows how to keep secrets. Such a person won’t engage into gossips to disclose what he/she knows about you. A friend who gossips is like a thorn in the flesh of those keeping him/her as their companion. In such cases, the friendship relationship becomes a horrible nightmare. Among the qualities of a good friend, the ability to keep secrets is one that can’t be omitted. This is highly supported by the Bible verses on friendship. Note that praiseworthy friends do not gossip. Such friend are out to speak facts and only facts. If they are not sure about something, they maintain their silence. In addition, they also remain silent about the things which you do not want the public to know.

8. Faithful friends put up with our shortcomings and support us – Galatians 6:2

Galatians 6:2 – “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Most friendship relationships have their own share of troubles. That is, they also face their own ups and downs. That’s why you should not take trouble in a relationship as an excuse to say goodbye. You have to learn and practice tolerance as well as forgiveness. The notions of tolerance and forgiveness can’t be omitted from our list of qualities of a good friend. At times troubles come not to destroy the relationship but to strengthen it in one way or the other. In most cases, it has been noticed that after a period of ups and downs in a relationship, the individuals become more committed and reassured of their sincerity.

Bible Verses With Healing

Bible Verses With Healing

There are many Bible Verses With Healing messages from God. Healing was very common during the days of Jesus Christ on Earth. During his physical stay on Earth, the eyes of the blind were opened, the legs of the lame were strengthened to walk, the ears of the deaf were opened to hear, those with all kinds of sicknesses and infirmities were restored to good and sound health. Before him, all sicknesses and and conditions went down on their knees in respect. He delivered those who were being held in Satan’s captivity and gave them a new life. In fact, healing the sick, setting free the captives, and giving life was a huge part of his ministry. In his days, he went forth to raising the dead before the eyes of everyone. Within his hands was the Divine Power to heal all kinds of sicknesses and diseases.

Till date, Christ is perceived as the Divine Healing hand of God. The Bible verses with healing messages refer to him as the Mighty Divine Healer. The modern church refers to these Bible verses with healing messages to get the healing secret behind God’s power through Christ. This is done with the aim of continuing the healing ministry of Christ which has never ceased and won’t cease till his next coming. Don’t be surprise to hear that Jesus Christ is still healing in the same way as he did in the past. Let no one deceive you, for Christ has not changed. Let’s support this message by reading from Hebrews 13:8 – “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Having this in mind, bring in prayers whatever sickness or disease that is troubling your well-being. Your faith in the healing power of Christ will heal you.

Bible Verses With Healing Power and Message

In as much as God cares for our spiritual lives, he also cares fir our spiritual well-being. It was out of love that he created the human body and it is in this very love that he wishes us good health. However, our bodies are subjected to pain, sickness, and decay in this world due to sin. Apart from certain body abuses that we embrace and draw sicknesses and pains, there are also natural happenings that bring these very conditions. Some are not at our understanding reach. However, God did not promise that we’ll always understand everything that happens. But we are certain of his promise to help all those who remain faithful to him in thought, word, and action. Most Bible verses with healing messages are pointing to this divine truth.

God has the power to heal all kinds of sicknesses. Whenever we come to him for healing, we must have faith and not doubt. A man or woman of faith is one who thanks God for having healed him/her despite the fact that they are still feeling the physical pains of the sickness. Remember that as Christians, we walk by faith and not by sight nor what we hear or feel. Even if we suffer sicknesses here on earth, we are certain of God’s promise for a better life after this one in his presence where sickness, pain, jealousy, sin, hatred, persecution, suffering and death no longer exist. Jeremiah 17:14 – “O LORD, you alone can heal me; you alone can save. My praises are for you alone!“. God is further telling us something in Jeremiah 30:17 – “I will give you back your health and heal your wounds, says the LORD .”

What you should know

1 Corinthians 12:27-30 – “All of you are Christ’s body, and each one is a part of it. In the church, God has put all in place: in the first place Apostles, in the second place Prophets, and in the third place Teachers; then those who Perform Miracles, followed by those who are given the Power to Heal or to Help others or to Direct them or to Speak in Strange Tongues. They are not all Apostles or Prophets or Teachers. Not everyone has the power to work miracles or to heal diseases or to speak in strange tongues or to explain what is said.” This is a clear message that in God’s church, the Holy Spirit has given to some people the power and ability to continue the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.

What does the Bible say about healing?

There is much in the Bible concerning healing. Divine healing is properly addressed both in the Old and New Testament. Before presenting in details our collection of Bible verses with healing message and power, we’ll like to point to the following truths from the Bible about healing:

1. God is the source of true healing

Although none of the Bible verses with healing messages condemns the legitimate use of medical doctors or medical science, they all point to the fact that genuine healing comes from God. This is in no way a form of discrediting medical doctors nor their services given that Luke in the Bible was a medical doctor whom God called. If doctors are in possession of ways to help those suffering from sicknesses, all thanks goes to God because no one can know or have something if God didn’t permit him/her. Remember that one of God’s names is Jehovah-Rapha meaning “the God who heals”. God has the power to heal spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally as we’ll read from the best Bible verses with healing messages.

2. The gift of healing is Biblical

Divine healing is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the good of the church and its well-being. God knows what is best for his church and eventually distributes gifts accordingly. In addition to honoring God, the gift of healing testifies the hand of God in the midst of his children as we’ll read from the best Bible verses with healing power.

3. God may say “no” to healing

It is not because we pray that all answers coming our way must be represented by a “yes”. That’s why it is always advisable to terminate your prayer with the words, “Father may your will be done.” Remember what happened when Moses cried out to the lord to heal Miriam’s the Lord did not heal her immediately as we are told in the Bible verses with healing messages. Ahaziah was also refused divine healing because he consulted with a pagan God. Even in the New Testament, Paul left Trophimus sick in Miletus. He had to deal with his own continuous affliction. Paul went forth to advice his spiritual son, Timothy, to drink a little wine as a means of calming his ongoing ailments. That’s why we should have in mind that God can say “no” and rather chose to use affliction to sanctify us.

4. Church leaders have an important part to play

In the modern church, many Christians turn to forget that they can call on their church leaders to lay hands on them and pray. This is a biblical truth which is not frequently taught nor practiced in many churches. Apostle James in his writing pointed our to this spiritual truth. He called on the elders of a church to visit the sick in their care for anointing with oil and laying of hands accompanied with prayer. In cases were the sickness was as result of personal sin, the elders were to call for confession and repentance.

Barriers that can prevent you from receiving Divine Healing

There are many barriers that can act as blockages preventing us from receiving our healing from Christ, Remember that Prophet Isaiah wrote saying that by the wounds of Jesus Christ, we are all healed. If your healing is not coming, have a look into your life for the following healing barriers:

  • Dwelling with sins that have not be confessed
  • Failing to ask for healing
  • Failing to surrender to God’s purpose
  • Entertaining doubt in your heart (lack of faith)
  • Failing to pray rightly

Encouraging Bible Verses

Literally meaning “boldness and confidence”, courage comes from an inspiring Greek word which has been translated. It can as well be perceived as “good cheer” which the Bible portrays as the opposite of fear. By commanding us to be courageous and of good cheer, God is calling on us to avoid dwelling in fear. God is our strength and source of courage through Christ. He provides us with the necessary strength to overcome the temptations of the devil and victoriously face all the adversities and challenge of life. In God, we can be confident, courageous, and of good cheer because he is always in control. Within the shadow of God’s fire of protection, we’ve got absolutely nothing to fear nor worry.

What the Scriptures say

It is important that we start by revealing what the Bible has to say about courage before actually listing the different encouraging Bible verses that you should know. Much is said about being courageous in the Old Testament and the New Testament. Both Testaments are calling on us to be courageous when facing the realities of life because God is in control and nothing happens without his knowledge. Do not allow what your eyes see and your ears hear to bring discouragement in your heart. For sure, God is in control even when things seem to be out of control. Remember that as followers of Christ, we’ve been called to live by faith and not by sight. With God, all things are possible. Obey the Key teachings of Jesus Christ and you’ll find mercy and favor before God, the Father of Creation.

Keep in mind that God does not only command us to be courageous in the Bible without a solid reason. In almost all Biblical cases where God says, “fear not”, there follows a solid and well founded reason to be courageous. This famous reason is God himself. He is the main reason for us to be courageous and not dwell in fear or worry. His sovereign rule, power, and authority over heaven and earth gives us sufficient reason not to dwell in fear. In addition, he is in control and preparing better things for us in times to come. Let’s read about the beautiful plans that God has for us from Jeremiah 29:11 – “I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future that you hope for.

In almost all Biblical cases where God says, “fear not”, there follows a solid and sound reason to have courage. You are certainly asking yourself for this reason. It is no other but God himself. He is the reason for us to have courage and fear nothing but him and him alone. His sovereign power over heaven and earth together with the perfect plans that he has for us are sufficient to keep us from entertaining fear in our hearts.

In every circumstance of life, have in mind that God is all powerful. Unto him, all things are possible. He is able and willing to help you just as the scriptures say. Remain faithful to the key teachings of Jesus Christ and you’ll find his mercy and favor. You will be considered his own and he will eliminate all reasons to fear in your life. In addition, he will give you the strength to overcome all the challenges and hard times that come your way. With God on your side, no one or situation can overthrow you. Maintain your faith in him despite what your eyes might see and your ears hear. For as Christians, we walk by faith and not by sight. Tell yourself that God is in control and he will surprise you when you least expect. Find edification and strength in the following Bible verses about courage.

A demonstration of courage – Acts 16:16-40

Paul and Silas demonstrated genuine courage when they were severely whipped for preaching the gospel. The Bible guides us into understanding that the more they were whipped, the more they prayed and worshiped God. They saw their persecution as a reason to pray the more and praise God the more because doing so was right. This is what we call genuine courage. It has to do with remaining faithful to God even in the face of death. Our savior, Jesus Christ, remained faithful to His Father till death. His Apostles did same till death. We’ve also been called to remain faithful to God even in the face of trials and persecutions that might make away with our physical bodies. Remember that humans can only hurt your physical body but cannot do same to your spirit. Only God has the ability to destroy both the human body and spirit.

Memorizing God’s word keeps us strengthened and equipped to overcome the temptations and challenges coming from the prince of darkness. On several occasions when Jesus Christ was tempted by the Devil, he recited scriptures o overcome him and remain faithful to God. Bible Verses About Hope

Bible Verses About Hope

There are many Bible Verses About Hope worth knowing by every Christian. Hope is one of the three theological virtues that keeps followers of Christ faithful to his teachings. The other two theological virtues are faith and love (Charity). As oppose to the latter two, hope is exclusively directed to the future. It is more of a fervent desire and confident expectation for the best things to come through Christ. Once hope attends its objectives, it ceases to be hope and becomes a possession. Unlike hope that is confined to man’s life on Earth and has an end, love never ends. Note that the ancient Greeks used the term hope (elpis) in pointing to an ambiguous and open-ended future. However, the Resurrection of Jesus Christ came as a call for Christians to embrace the term in pointing to a positive expectation and a moral quality.

By actively reading through the New Testament, you’ll realize that Christian hope is closely tied to the ultimate hope of the return of Jesus Christ who will come to judge both the living and the dead. Most Bible verses about hope support this divine truth. Nevertheless, this eschatological hope does not eliminate the intermediate hopes for divine favor, material blessings, and good times. Although most Christian manuals of doctrine and ethics have preferentially focused more on faith and charity, there is absolutely much to say about hope. Whatever be the case, relax because our write-up on the best Bible verses about hope will provide you with all what you need to know.

Bible Verses About Hope

What you need to know about Hope

Before presenting the best Bible verses about hope, there are a few things worth taking note of. Hope is one of the major things that keeps Christians going in the faith no-matter the challenges that come their way. That is, hope that tomorrow will be better because God is in control, hope that we will see the next day by God’s grace, hope that better things will come our way and change our stories for the best, and hope that Christ is preparing a place for us in heaven before the throne of God, the Father of Creation. Such gives us the necessary strength to keep on striving in the midst of the challenges that come our way. The feeling of hope is so powerful that it influences the way that we respond to life. This holds even though we cannot see nor touch it.

Inhabiting a world filled with all sorts of calamities, we can only look to God as our main source of hope. He is our hope and assurance for a better tomorrow. In addition, he is our hope of recovering from sicknesses and benefiting from an everlasting life after physical death of the body. There are many Bible verses about hope that are reassuring us of God’s promises to bring joy in our hearts and make away with evil and all that comes with it like suffering. A life free from suffering and full of happiness is what awaits those who will be judged by Christ and found worthy to inherit God’s kingdom. Prepare yourself by learning and putting into action his Key Teachings about honoring God.

Bible Verse Of The Day

Bible Verse of the Day

A Bible Verse Of The Day has the power to reposition you within God’s presence through Christ. It is of a greater physical and spiritual importance to start and end your day with God. Psalms 143:8 puts it this way “Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love,
for in you I trust.
Make me know the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul
.” Early morning is just the best time for believers to contact God and obtain spiritual nourishment for the day. Seeking spiritual nourishment early in the morning is important in keeping a Christian faithful all throughout the day. This spiritual nourishment offers the strength necessary to overcome the challenges of the day alongside the temptations coming from the evil one.

Remember that God commanded Moses to tell his people to collect manner precisely in the morning or every new day (Exodus 16:15-21). Following this principle, Christ rebuked the Devil in Matthew 4:4 – It is written, “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out through the mouth of God” This clearly reveals that our savior, Jesus Christ, understood the importance of taking God’s word as his daily food and meditating on it at all times. In as much as our physical bodies need food to grow, our spirits also need God’s word to grow. That’s why we should stay away from spiritual starvation in as much as we avoid physical starvation.

Bible Verse Of The Day

The importance of starting your day with God

Successfully seeing a new day is a sufficient reason to give thanks to God. Remember that we all go to bed every evening but not everyone wakes up the next morning. In as much as many wake up in sound health, others wake up with illnesses and others never wake up. That’s why you should rejoice in thanksgiving to God for counting yourself among the living. This is done through prayers and praises. It is said that wherever there is a man to pray, there is a God to answer. That is, as you are talking to God, he is also talking to you. It is left for you to position yourself in a receptive mood. We position ourselves in a receptive mood by studying our Bibles.

The Bible is an authoritative voice of God. It tells us what God whats from us and what he has promised to give us. This makes up for our writing on the Bible verse for the day. Our writing is aimed at calling everyone to start their morning with a Bible verse of the day followed by a moment of praise and prayer. Through morning prayers, you commit your day to the lord who knows what lays ahead of you. Note that God has the ability to prepare your day in advance if you ask him. Unto him, all things are possible. He can successfully plan your day and turn all traps from the enemy for your advantage. When we commit our day in God’s care, he will protect us, provide for us, guide us, bless us, and accomplish his will in our lives for that day.

98 Bible Verses About Love

Our writing is aimed at presenting the Best 98 Bible Verses About Love that you should know. As Christians, we are called to do everything in love because our heavenly father dwells in love. Nothing done out of love can bring him glory. He is the father of love and has commanded us to love because he first loved us. It is love that makes our sacrifices and gifts acceptable before his throne. That is why it is said that no one can please God without love. An objective look from creation till date will reveal that God has always acted out of love. Christ has given us the right to become children of God and as such, we ought to reflect the loving nature of God in all our activities and to everyone that comes our way. As followers of Christ, we’ve been called to love everyone.

Loving only those whom we find lovable is easier but that’s not what Christ requires from us. He has commanded us to love everyone even those whom we find difficult to love. Let’s support this by reading from John 15:12-14 – “My commandment is this: love one another, just as I love you. The greatest love a person can have for his friend is to give his life for them. And you are my friends if you do what I command you.” Our 98 Bible verses about love are pointing to this very message from Christ. The Key teachings of Jesus Christ are centered around love. He taught about love more than any other Biblical figure. Most of our 98 Bible verses about love were derived from the teachings of Jesus Christ by his Apostles.

Let’s go a little deeper by hearing from Jesus Christ in Matthew 22:34-40. When the Pharisees heard that Jesus Christ had silenced the Sadducees with scriptural knowledge beyond human understanding, they came in their numbers to trap him with strategic and complex questions. Upon their arrival, one of them, a teacher of the law, asked, “Which is the greatest commandment in the law?” Jesus Christ answered, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your mind, and with all your soul.” In the same light, Christ proceeded by pointing to the second most important commandment – “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.

Here we realize that both the most important commandment and the second most important are all revolving around love. That’s why the value of love can’t be ignored among God’s children. We first start by loving God and then our neighbors as ourselves. Another objective look will reveal that the whole Law of Moses and the teachings of the prophets are all based on Loving God and your neighbor as yourself. You’ll confirm this truth as you go through our 98 Bible verses about love for God and your neighbor. Before presenting these Bible verses, it is worth explaining what we mean by loving God. Our love for God is demonstrated by obeying his commandments as we can read from John 14:21. Those who accept God’s commands and obey them are those who love him. In addition to revealing himself to such people, God will grant them eternal life.

Love Drives Out Fear

1 John 4:18 says, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love” (this is again the word agape). Behold, the dismissal of the fear of condemnation is one of the main functions of God’s love. The person without Christ is under judgment and has plenty to fear, but once a person is in Christ, the fear of judgment is gone. John 3:18 says, “Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”

As Christians, part of understanding the love of God is knowing that God’s judgment fell on Jesus at the cross so we can be spared. John 3:17 says, “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” Jesus Christ is the Savior in whom anyone who believes is saved. We learn from the Scriptures that the only person who must fear judgment is the one who rejects Jesus Christ. Scripture teaches that nothing can separate the believer from the love of God in Christ. Romans 8:38-39 says, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
God’s love for sinners is why Christ died on the Cross of Calvary. God’s love for those who trust in Christ is why He holds them in His hand and promises never to let them go (John 10:29).

Bible Verses About Marriage

There are many interesting Bible Verses About Marriage worth knowing by all Christians. There is no book as old and rich as the Bible when it comes to getting information about marriage. The Bible tells us that God performed the very first marriage on the sixth day of creation week. Let’s support this by reading from Genesis 1:27, 28, NKJV – “God created man in His own image…male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth’ ”. Brethren, let no one deceive you, for marriage is a blessing from God to mankind. Indeed, God created marriage in the beginning. We should always keep in mind that it was God who initiated the very first marriage in the garden of Eden between Adam and Eve. We are trying to say here that marriage comes from God. God’s ideal for marriage was illustrated when he united Adam and Eve in an unbreakable bond. That is, one man and one woman joined together in a faithful and long-life commitment to each other. From creation, a husband and a wife were meant to work together for the establishment of a strong and godly family. Although human beings have not always followed this ideal path, it remains the best from God.

Two become one flesh (What the Scriptures say about Marriage)

The bond of marriage is so powerful that it joints two individuals into one flesh. The Bible is very clear on this divine truth. When God created Eve, “He brought her to the man. And Adam said, ‘This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh.’ . . . Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh” (Genesis 2:22-24). This is an account of the very first marriage celebrated by God himself. It completely highlights all the fundamental characteristics of a godly marriage.

That is, a husband and a wife becoming “one flesh”. Although they may physically appear as two individuals, they are perceived by God as one. God’s ideal for marriage is for the two to become one – in purpose. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
