All Things Are Possible With God

All Things Are Possible With God

Brethren, rejoice for All Things Are Possible With God. Wipe your tears and fill your heart with joy because God is capable. Forget the days of failure because with God, your story must change. Whatever be it that is troubling your peace, worry no more because everything is possible with God. Unto Him is all power in Heaven, on Earth, under the Earth, and in the world to come. So why shed tears or led your heart troubled when you know fully well that we are serving a God of impossibilities. He is who He says He is. We call Him the Most High because there is none like him anywhere. He is a faithful God who never fails. There is nothing we can compare him with. No man can see him and live.

God is all righteous and powerful. With mere words, he was able to create Heaven and Earth. At a twinkle of an eye, he took 7 days and created the Earth together with all that dwells in it. The beauty of the flowers in the gardens and the colorful flying birds are there to testify God’s power. We a breath, He brought man to life and with words, he brought every other thing through Christ to existence. With this in mind, we can say without doubt that all things are possible with God. Truth be told, we cannot fully put down in writing all the impossibilities which God has done since creation. Trying to do this will soon get us exhausted. Look at everything around and you will better understand that God is at work doing the impossible. His weakness begins where man’s strength ends.

All Things Are Possible With God

Still on our saying that all things are possible with God, we will like to take you back to the Old and New Testaments. Remember the days of prophet Elijah in the wilderness. The prophet was tired, hungry, and weak yet his road was still very long. God sent birds to provide him food and commanded the ground to produce for him water to drink. So why worry about the food that you need. If your Heavenly Father is able to feed the birds that do not have storerooms, He will certainly do same for you. There is no need to worry about the cloths that you need to put on. If God is able cloth the flowers in the bush that are far less than you, He will certainly cloth you. Note that even all the expensive cloths of king Solomon couldn’t stand the beauty of the flowers.

Also remember about the children of Israel who were held hostage in Egypt where they were required to work as slaves. Although they were treated as such for many years, God did not forget them. This is to tell you that no condition is permanent. In as much as God remembered the Israelites when they called to him, He will also remember you. And when he remembers you, your situation will change for the best. When the Israelites were faced with the impossibility of crossing the red sea so as to escape pharaoh’s soldiers who were pursuing them, God demonstrated his power. He divided the Red Sea and created a traveling path way for his children to safely cross. God himself was the light on their path to the promised land.

God’s power today

Upon hearing of the impossibilities which God had accomplished in the Old and New Testaments, many are wondering what has become of God’s power. Brethren, stand strong in the faith because God has not changed. That very power in the Old and New Testament is in place. He walked the Earth opening the eyes of the blind, raising the death, healing all kinds of sicknesses, setting free the captives and above all giving eternal life. God is still in possession of this very power. That’s why the Holy Scriptures clearly pointed in Hebrews 13:8 that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He has not changed. That is, He is still capable and he still doing things as he did in the past. Whatever be the situation that you are facing, trust God and God alone. He is able to make away where there seems to be none.

The next question which you might possible be asking is that of how to experience God’s power. That is the power to render possible the impossible situations in your life. Note that the link to your Divine Favor, Miracle, Healing, Breakthrough, Deliverance, and Blessing is Faith. We mean a mature faith. That’s why Jesus Christ said that anyone with a faith as big as a small mustard seed can use words to uproot mountains and displace oceans. That is, unto a man of faith, everything is possible through God. But what is faith? It is the substance of things not seen. That is, it is the certainty in things hoped for. In other words, faith is the certainty in God’s yet unfulfilled promises. It has to do with taking God for who he says he is. Faith is believing in God and obeying the key teachings of Jesus Christ.

The relationship between faith and obedience

We cannot talk of faith without mentioning obedience. Faithfulness to God is keeping his words in obedience. That’s why faith can’t be separated from obedience. Obedience is the acting part of faithfulness. We cannot talk of faith without actions. Such a faith is a death one. If we speak of faithfulness to God, we are talking of the love and obedience that we have for him. Faith will lead you to obeying and walking on every word that comes from the mouth of God. Note that without faith, we cannot please God. That’s why the scriptures say that as Christians, we walk by faith and not by sight. In other words, we’ll say that as Christians, we walk by what God says and not by what we see, hear, or feel in the physical. You can be sure that your eyes will fail you. But God will never fail you.

Always remember that the Devil and his agents use physical sight as way to weaken our faith and prevent us from experiencing God’s manifesting power. In other words, the devil will use physical situations and happenings around you to contradict what God is saying about you. Those who are weak in faith will easily fall and start doubting God’s ability to keep to his words. And the moment you start doubting, you are taking a great distance away from God’s acting power. Remember the story of Peter and Jesus walking on water. Jesus Christ commanded Peter to walk with him on water, Peter stepped out with faith and was walking until the moment doubt entered his heart an he began drowning. This is a strong call to take God for his words without trying to help or assist him in his promises.

What did Jesus Christ mean when he said that “With God all things are possible”?

Mark 10:27 – “But Jesus looked at them and said, with men it is impossible, but not with God, for with God all things are possible.” This saying was clearly passed unto us by Jesus Christ who spoke not on his authority but on that of the one who sent him. Hence, the saying is trustworthy and reliable. It means every single word just as you read. This saying is very popular among Christians. It’s not strange to see it hanging on walls, written on church buildings, and even stitched on cloths and pillows. Some people even write it on their vehicles and other belongings. This leads us to asking the question what did Jesus mean when he spoke these words. This saying can be related to Matthew 19:26 which points out to the omnipotence power and authority of God to do whatever pleases Him.

This very saying echoes across the entire scriptures. In Genesis 18:14, we hear God clearly pointing out to his ability to do all things when Abraham and Sarah doubted God’s promise of giving them a child since they were already too old and could not bear children before human eyes. The saying that all things are possible with God actually means that with God on my side, everything is possible. In other knowledgeable words, we can say that because God is on our side, we can accomplish all things that we wish to do. Although we are weak, our strength comes from God unto whom all things are possible. That’s why we ought not to focus on our strength but on God’s. Unlike our failing strength, God never fails. And in him, we can accomplish all things because we are his children and he is our father.

Bible Verses About Giving Money

Bible Verses About Giving Money

There exist many Bible Verses About Giving Money out of love in the likeness of God. You are in the right place to get these Bible verses for your spiritual growth and knowledge. Giving in itself is a noble and godly gesture which pleases our Heavenly Father. In other words, we can say that giving is an act of righteousness which comes from our hearts and makes up for our human duty of helping each other as commanded by God. The key teachings of Jesus Christ clearly pour more light on the aspect of giving as a Christian. This godly gesture is also called Charity. The Holy Scriptures teach us about Charity Giving and how God uses people to bless others. God’s spirit can as well move a person to give out of free will. From the Bible, we realize that giving is part of God’s nature.

That’s why no one can stand and boast of anything because all that we have on Earth was given to us by God. We ourselves own nothing, we are simply keepers of wealth which belongs not to us but to God. Although there are many different types of giving, we’ll focus on that of giving money. This is because it is more of a controversial topic among modern Christians. Many people just chose to avoid and not even talk about it. But this is wrong because as Christians we can’t ignore the facts on Money in the Bible. It is our Christian duty to learn and know all the Bible verses about giving money. As we all know, the Bible is an authoritative guide in leading us to do what pleases God. We’ll also be dealing with the controversies that surround the act of giving in Church.

Bible Verses About Giving Money

Before we present the different Bible verses about giving money, we’ll love to start by pointing out a few things which you ought to know about the act of giving. Many people have failed to understand what giving means in the kingdom of God. And without a proper understanding of this Christian duty, your spiritual life will hardly advance. You might ask why? The answer is simple, God is love in nature. We serve a God who is pleased through love. Giving or charity is a fruit of love. We are all commanded by God to love one another just as we love ourselves. And if we must talk about love, we must also talk about its fruits. I cannot say that I love when I am unable to bear the fruits of love.

My actions must match my words in order to please God. Giving is very important among those whom God has called to partake in the Heavenly feast. God being the father of love did not keep back any good thing from us. In creating man, He gave him all the good things in the garden of Eden. Sad to say but man out of his evil desires to be like God disobeyed him. This disobedience led to what is known in Theology as “the fall of man”. Even after this, God did not still stop loving man. He made a promise of the greatest level of giving that he will send his only son to become a sacrificial lamb who will take away the sins of the world and restore the relationship between man and himself which was broken in the garden of Eden.

How Christians should perceive giving

Giving is a gesture which pleases God. This saying is valid for freewill giving which is done out of love. Always remember that God is love and anything done out of love is disgusting before him. Thus, sacrifices made in love will please God and open Heaven’s flow gates to pour blessings on those concerned. On the other hand, we don’t think that we’ll be exaggerating to say that offering sacrifices to God which are not made out of will rather call curses on you. Remember the story of Cain and Abel. Also remember the death curse which came upon Ananias and his wife for lying about the gifts they had for God. What you have at hand should not be given in regret or sadness. If you do such, you won’t receive a penny of blessing from God.

If you give out of love and because it is pleasing to God, you and your entire generation will be blessed. But to who do you give? Jesus Christ spoke the mind of God when he said whatever you do to your fellow human being, that you do unto him (Matthew 25:31-46). In other words, by giving to the poor, you are giving to God. By visiting the sick, you are doing it for God. When you care for the old, you are doing it for God. By feeding the hungry and quenching the thirst of those in need, you are doing it for God. When you cloth the poor and needy, you are doing it for God. Kindness and love shown to men and women is done to God. By caring for the orphans and widows, you are doing it for God.

The importance of giving

The gesture of giving which is a powerful demonstration of love for one another is of a greater importance. Note that giving which pleases God is one which does not expect anything in return. Such giving should be make in secret. Anyone who makes a show in giving will only receive praise from men and nothing from God. But if you give in secret, your Heavenly father who sees and knows everything done in secret will greatly reward you. A genuine giver is a person who gives according to one’s needs upon being moved by love and sympathy. We also practice charity because it is our duty to give to one another. Also note that giving to church out of love is a christian duty. We must take care of God’s house and it is our duty to provide for his servants.

Another main reason for giving is that you are your brothers care taker. That’s why the scriptures recommend that every christian should love his/her neighbor as they love themselves. If you love your neighbor as yourself, you will see unto it that he/she has food to eat, cloths to wear, shelter, peace of mind, and is n the path to salvation through Christ. In addition, if you love your neighbor, you won’t do unto them those things that you won’t like to have them done to you. In other words, you’ll do to others only those things which you’ll love them to be done for you. Below are the Best Bible Verses About Giving Money.

Block 7

Deuteronomy 15:7-10 – “If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be. Take care lest there be an unworthy thought in your heart and you say, ‘The seventh year, the year of release is near,’ and your eye look grudgingly on your poor brother, and you give him nothing, and he cry to the Lord against you, and you be guilty of sin. You shall give to him freely, and your heart shall not be grudging when you give to him, because for this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake.

What the Holy Scriptures say about debt

We are told in proverbs 22:7 that the borrower is a slave to the lender. In other words, debt owed leads you into a slave/master relationship with your creditor. By reading Matthew 5:42, we learn that it is God’s will for us to lend to those who are in need. However, this becomes difficult when you actually have nothing to lend. Romans 13:7 encourages and commands us to repay back all that we owe to others. Note that the Bible does not condemn borrowing as a sin. It becomes a sin when you borrow and deliberately refuse to pay back.

Quote 1

Proverbs 22:7 – “Poor people are slaves of the rich. Borrow money and you are the lender’s slave.

Quote 2

Romans 13:7 – “Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.

Quote 3

Psalms 37:21 – “The wicked borrows but does not pay back, but the righteous is generous and gives.”

Bible Verses About Money and Greed

Bible Verses About Money and Greed

Bible Verses About Money and Greed are destined to authoritatively instruct God’s children how to live righteous lives through Christ. Money and Greed are two hooks which can mislead people from their faith. Many have been so eager to get money that they found themselves wandering far away from the faith in activities that are unpleasing to God. While this does not mean that money in itself is evil, we are simply trying to call off your attention on perceiving money as a primary focus.

As Christians, our primary focus should be on God and the heavenly things for that is where we belong. We should perceive money as a secondary necessity which has a far less value than the things of God. In this light, we won’t get caught in the different temptations that come with money. Unto those in the world, money generally goes together with greed. And learning how to handle both in the light of God’s righteousness is worth every Christian’s effort.

If this is your aim, then we’ll say that you are at the right place. For we hereby write to present the main Bible verses about money and greed which will reveal God’s mind about them. Money in the Bible is a reality which must be properly understood by every Christian. Failing to do this will lead to lots of misunderstandings and wrong perceptions. Money in general is a precious gift from God which acts both as a reward to the work done at his command and as a means of sustaining the precious lives he gave us.

On the other hand, greed is a selfish and intense desire for something especially power, wealth, and food. Such poor desires are likely to lead us away from the path that is pleasing to God.

Bible Verses About Money and Greed

Money is a necessity for life so much that Jesus Christ himself talked about it. That’s why you must not perceive it as a taboo topic. However, such perceptions can only be derived from your definition of money. Note that Jesus Christ himself used money while on Earth. We are told by the scriptures that he paid the Temple tax with money (Matthew 17:24-27). His ministry also operated on a financial basis whereby Judas Iscariot was responsible for carrying the money bag (John 12:6).

Note that money is simply a medium of exchange which has been generally accepted in the world for purchasing goods and services. It is a reward for work which was destined by God for mankind. After disobeying God, Adam and his offspring were commissioned to work and eat from what the ground produces. Today, it is either you are working the ground to eat from what it produces in accordance to God’s will or you are executing a job which yields money to purchase what the ground produces for food.

Handling Money God’s way

Still on Bible verses about money and greed, we’ll say that money in itself is not evil. However, you can make it evil through your heart desires and actions. The scriptures are not against wealthy people but are rather against those who wander away from God in the name of wealth. The problem here is when you value wealth more than God for it is God who provides wealth as it is written in the proverbs. Reading across the Bible, you’ll find out that most Biblical figures were blessed by God with wealth. We can name a few by mentioning Abraham, Job, Solomon, Joseph and Arimatheas.

However, these Biblical figures understood that they were simply keepers and not owners of wealth. And as a result, they remained humble before God without trusting in money which can disappear overnight. They used their wealth as a means of pleasing God through their thoughts, actions, and deeds. King Solomon in his wealth belt a Temple where men and women could gather to praise and honor God.

It is in this light of giving that we should handle our wealth. Let’s rather store up riches in heaven than on Earth were they won’t last for long. In heaven, your riches are guaranteed to last forever. When God blesses you with wealth, remember to stretch out a helping hand to those in need. Become a father to the fatherless, and mother to the motherless. Feed and cloth the poor for this is pleasing to God.

Never rely on wealth which will pass away but rather keep your confidence in God who remains. Note that no-matter how much security you get from money, it won’t protect you from God’s judgement. Let’s now present the best Bible verses about Money and Greed:

Quote 1

Proverbs 15:27 – ” The greedy bring ruin to their households, but the one who hates bribes will live.

Quote 2

Hebrews 13:5 – ” Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, Never will I leave you, Never will I forsake you.

Quote 3

Ecclesiastes 5:10 – “Whoever loves money never has enough, whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless.

Quote 4

1 John 2:16 – ” For everything in the world: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life comes not from the Father but from the world.

Quote 5

2 Corinthians 9:7 – ” Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Quote 7

Matthew 6:24 – ” No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other. Or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.

Quote 8

Proverbs 11:28 – “Those who trust in their riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.

Quote 9

Proverbs 13:11 – “Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.”

Quote 10

Proverbs 22:9 – ” The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.

Quote 11

Proverbs 28:22 – ” The stingy are eager to get rich and are unaware that poverty awaits them.

Quote 12

1 Timothy 6:17-19 – ” Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provide us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the upcoming age, so that they may take hold of the life which is truly life.

Quote 13

1 Timothy 6:6-10 – ” But godliness and contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith ad pierced themselves with many griefs.

Quote 14

James 5:1-6 – ” Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you. Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your cloths. Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days. Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Almighty. You have lived on Earth in luxury and self-indulgence and have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter. You have condemned and murdered the innocent one, who was not opposing you.

Bible Verses About Money Worries

What is money?

Before presenting the different Bible Verses About Money Worries, it is wise for us to start by defining money. Failing to do this will continuously support the unsound views that skeptical Christians have about money. In simple words, we can say that money is a medium of exchange which has been generally accepted by the society for purchasing goods and services. What makes money is the value behind it. And looking kindly will lead you to realizing the the value behind it lays in God’s instruction for man to work for a living.

It is either you are working the ground and eating what it produces as God commanded or you are executing a job which will provide you with the money necessary to purchase what the ground produces for a living. Look at the birds: they do not sow seeds, gather a harvest and put it in barns; yet your Father in Heaven takes care of them! Aren’t you worth much more than birds? Can any of you live a bit longer by worrying about it?” From this scripture, we realize that worrying is useless. It does not help us in accomplishing any major task. Money in the Bible

Money in the Bible

Money in the Bible is a reality which must be carefully analyzed in the light of God’s righteousness. The entire Bible is full of God’s wisdom and advice on human matters. And the money topic is not without God’s opinion or advice. If you have been wondering what the Bible says about money, you are at the right place. We’ll guide you through Biblical light on how to handle money in a way that pleases God. Money is considered by many as a taboo topic in Christianity. You are right in saying that money cannot buy life, love, and many others. But you can’t also exclude the fact that without money, you’ll hardly make a living on Earth. We live in a world that has subjected us to the use of money in almost every step. Everyone on Earth moving from children to parents need Money.

If you are a parent, you’ll obviously need money to purchase shelter for yourself and your offspring. You’ll still need money to feed, educate and cloth them. That’s why you should not regard the money topic as a taboo. Doing so will force us to class you among those who are ignorant about money in the Bible. Regard money as a medium of exchanging value. Money is not different from the harvest made from your land through hard work. That’s why you can convert your harvest into money as well as convert your money into household foodstuffs, shelter, and services. Even Jesus Christ needed money during his days on Earth for many purposes like paying the Temple tax (Matthew 17:24-27). We are even told by the scriptures that Judas Iscariot was the one carrying the money bag which financially supported Jesus’s ministry (John 12:6).

Money in the Bible: A Deeper Look

But what do we mean by speaking against the fact that Christians are taking the money topic as a taboo? Are we speaking against 1 Timothy 6:10 which says “For the love of money is a source of all kinds of evil. Some have been so eager to have it that they have wandered away from the faith and have broken their hearts with many sorrows.” We are definitely not speaking a single word against this Holy Scripture which was written by Apostle Paul to Timothy. Note that we are simply pouring more light on the subject matter. For this very scripture in itself does not speak against money but against does who are so desperate to have it that they wander far away from God. The scripture is simply against does who partake in evil activities to obtain money.

We regularly hear of people breaking God’s law by stealing money, killing for money, accepting the devil for money and rejecting Christ for money and all the facilities that come with it. On the other hand, I’ve never come across a scripture which is against honestly earned money in God’s light. For it is God’s will that men and women labor to meetup with their daily needs. The problem steps in when you value money more than your faith. Money is a reward for hard work or labor. And onto my knowledge, God promised to make the land fertile and rewarding for his children. Thus, if you love God with all your heart and obey the key teachings of Jesus Christ, prosperity and divine success will follow you.

God’s promise to make those who obey his laws prosperous

Let’s confirm this by reading from Deuteronomy 30:9 – “The Lord will make you prosperous in all that you do, you will have many children and a lot of livestock, and and your fields will produce abundant crops. He will be as glad to make you prosperous as he made your ancestors prosperous.” In other words, prosperity is children’s bread in the kingdom of God. Honor God and he will fill your store rooms with more than they can contain. Put God first in your life and you will live to testify his goodness.

Malachi 3:10 says ” Bring the full amount of your tithes to the Temple, so that there will be plenty of food there. Put me to the test and you will see that I will open the windows of Heaven and pour out on you in abundance all kinds of good things.” Thus, as you are concerned about the things of God, He will be concerned about your well being and pleasure. As you seek first His kingdom, all the other things will follow in abundance (Matthew 6:33). The land which God will bless and make prosperous could also be your business or other life activities.

Whatever the case, you must note that the way Christians handle money or financial aspects is different from the way the world does. The world believes in money but Christians believe in God. While the world believes that money is all, Christians believe that God is all. The world believes in nonexistence without money but Christians believe in nonexistence without God. Thus, Christians perceive money as a secondary need and not a primary need as the world does. This is what money in the Bible is all about.

What is money?

In simple terms, money is a medium of exchange which is generally accepted in the society for payment of Goods and Services. While may see money as a necessity for life, it can turn into a source of trouble to one’s mind. It is without doubt that money is a problem to those who overvalue it whether they have too little or too much. However, those who find their primary satisfaction in God’s love and faithfulness will hardly led their minds troubled by money. Let’s further expand our topic on money in the Bible given that the Bible is an authoritative guide in living a life that pleases God.

Working for provision is part of God’s perfect plan for mankind

We cannot talk of money in the Bible without narrowing our path to creation when God fashioned the Earth and all that is in it. Upon creating Adam and Eve, God gave them a mission or task which was to take care of the Garden of Eden and all that lived withing it. That’s they were to rule over the fish in the sea, birds in the sky, livestock, wild animals, and all living creatures on land. However, things went bad when Adam and Eve disobeyed God. They were sent out of the Garden which had all life facilities. Their disobedience brought sin and a resulting death into the World. As a result of their disobedience, they were under God’s punishment. God cursed the ground which man was to work hard before producing what was necessary to make a living.

From the beginning, we see that mankind had work to do. You might say that there was no money in the Garden or Eden. But remember that there was work to do and it is this work to do that we perceive today as a job. As long as Adam took care of the Garden and all that was in it, God provided his needs. Even when he was out of the garden, he had to work the ground in order to meetup with his needs. Today, you are either working the ground to make a living as God planned or you are executing a job which will yield money for you to purchase food produced from the ground. In either way, mankind is fulfilling God’s will of working to make a living. We couldn’t afford to omit this from our writing on Money in the Bible.

Money is a precious gift from God

Skeptical people are already up with their stones to throw at us because we said money is a precious gift from God. Start by asking yourself why this saying and by the end of they day, you’ll be OK with us. But what do we really mean by this saying? We say that money is a precious gift from God because it is both a reward for the work he commanded us to do and a means of sustaining the valuable life which he breathe into our bodies during creation. Money is the reward that a person earns from working. It is what you use to purchase your needs. With money. you are able to sustain your life and those for whom you are responsible.

Biblical wealth is perceived as the result of hard work, honesty, and wisdom. That’s why it is written in the proverbs that lazy hands yield poverty while diligent hands yield prosperity. It is also written that dishonest wealth dwindles away. Note that dishonest wealth has led to the downfall of many great men and women. That’s why playing around with such is not different from entering the Lions presence. You’ll likely get devoured for dinner. However, wealth which comes as a result of hard work, honesty, and wisdom is what brings glory to God. With such wealth, God will certainly bless you the more for he who has shall receive more while he who doesn’t will be taken even the small that he/she believes in.

Do not embrace poverty in the name of the Gospel

Brethren, do not lazily embrace poverty in the name of the gospel for it is not written anywhere in the scriptures that pleasing God is being poor. If you are poor, hold yourself responsible for being lazy and do not dare attribute it to the scriptures. For the scriptures are clear on the fact that God will bless the efforts of his children so that they would not lack bread. Step out with a hardworking spirit and God will bless your efforts to be successful. Folding your arms to sit back is simply being lazy and has nothing to do with obeying God. For God’s will is that man should work the ground and eat what it produces. While on Earth, our savior Jesus Christ worked as a carpenter till the age of 30 when he took up his Father’s work. All his Apostles were skillful and hardworking men.

Money in the Bible requires hard work, honesty, wisdom, and the fear of God. The Bible in itself is not against money. A look at most Biblical figures who pleased God will testify on our behalf. Some of the godly individuals in the Bible who were rich and extremely wealthy are Abraham, Solomon, Job, Joseph, and Arimathea. In God’s covenant with the children of Israel on Mt Sinai, He promised them wealth if they will keep all his commandments. This reveals God’s nature of providing for his children. God loves those who honor and keep his commands. He calls them his children. And just as a Father, he makes sure that he blesses their efforts to yield their needs. Although you can be poor yet be a child of God, if you work hard, God will bless your efforts and make you prosperous.

Lots of temptations come with money

While money itself is not bad, the temptations surrounding it can turn to be deadly. Money in the Bible clearly points out the possibilities of deadly temptations which can lead your soul to the fire of hell. You can as well read what Jesus Christ taught about hell. Coming back on the temptations surrounding money, we say that they are real. That’s why Apostle Paul wrote saying that the love of money is the root of all evils. And this is absolutely true because out of the desire to get money, many people are so desperate that they abandon their faith. Some are so desperate that they go up to the extent of sacrifices human lives. Others do not hesitate to steal it while some people simply get it through dishonest ways. All these ways are evil and God hates them.

Do not be misled by the security which money promises to give you because it cannot protect you from God’s Holy Judgement of fire. Money promises lasting happiness but the more you gather, the more your worries and anxieties. Always remember that money can “disappear” overnight and leave you stranded. That’s why you should rather fight for everlasting riches in heaven by honoring God on Earth. Remember to love God with all your heart and also love your neighbor as you love yourself. Do for others what you will love to have them do for you. When God blesses you with money, be a father to the fatherless, a mother to the motherless. Become a benefactor to those in need. Share with others the things which God has blessed you with and your riches will be stored up in heaven.
